Eight Puppies Freeze to Death, Mama Dog and One Puppy Miraculously Survive During Outside Birth

A mother dog and her puppy are back from the brink of death, but their tragic tale was wholly avoidable. As WQAD News 8 reports, the owners of the black lab mix in the video above did not realize the dog was pregnant. Although they fed the dog daily, it lived outside and on Dec. 26, the canine gave birth during a cold snap of below-freezing temperatures.
